Here are my layouts for days 4-10, just getting around to post them.

Here are my layouts so far for LOAD. I have such a huge backlog of layouts I want to get done and this is helping a lot.

So far so good, now on to this weeks layouts.
I figured I would work on some of the classes that are being offered over at Two Peas today since I can't go into work because of last night's ice storm. Sande Krieger is doing a class on digital scrapbooking, so I watched this months video and made this.
The class video was on using the marquee tool which honestly I had no idea what it did. I used this and this free kit from Two Peas to make the layout.

The album is really starting to come together, hoping to actually get caught up by the end of the week and maybe even finish it this year.
Making a good dent in the backlog of pages I need to do, did these yesterday.
Day 3: Christmas Cards
There is a second page to Day 3, it's a photo collage and I'm going to order prints when I'm done with all the pages.
Day 4: Perfect Christmas
Used a photo from a Pottery Barn catalog like I did last year. Because really what could be more perfect than a Pottery Barn Christmas.
Day 5: Advent
I got the idea for the numbers from someones page last year and have been wanting to do it.
Day 6: Memories
I decided to journal about one specific memory this year.
That's all I have for now, back to work on some more pages.
Day Two is done.
No snow for us but I used the picture I took yesterday for the page. Yesterday it was a nice 60 something degree day, right now it's 48 degress and the wind is blowing like crazy.

The pictures a little crappy but I just finished the page and wanted to get it loaded tonight. This year I'm using an 8x8 American Crafts corduroy album and the papers are Scenic Route. The tree stamp is by
Pink Paislee and I love it! I'm going to be using it on each page as an accent, I used clear embossing powder over the ink to give it a more intense color. I also plan on keeping a separate journal using the promts that Shimelle gives, hoping to get a little more journaling done this year, that way if I get behind with the scrapbook pages I will have something I can go back to for the journaling.

I created my first digital layout! Hot Damn!
I've always liked the calendar kits that come out this time of year and thought one would be a perfect gift for my mom. So after seeing that Heather Anne Melzer had come out with her 2009 Calendar Kit I thought I would give it a try. After watching a few tutorials over at Two Peas I was ready to create. It was so easy and since I'm more of a visual learner the video tutorials really helped. My eyes have been opened to a whole new world of scrapbooking. Not that I'll ever leave the paper and glue world but for a quick gift this is a good alternative.
But one thing I have learned is that I need a new version of Photoshop Elements, I have an old one which is not compatable with Windows Vista, the program works but it does funky things to my pages while I'm working on them. So I'll be getting Photoshop Elements 7 this week, I've been meaning to update the program but this is a good excuse to do it.
I am off to create more pages!
I know some people say the phrase, "I'll never get caught up with my scrapbooking" is ugly, but for me it's true. I'm such a slow scrapbooker that it takes me a few hours to do just a simple layout. But I started wondering if I could do a layout a day, then I thought I would give myself a little challenge, for the month of July I would try and do a layout each day.
I am proud to say the for the past seven days I have done a layout for each day. Now I'm not trying to win any contest or get anything published with these layouts, I just want them done and in the scrapbook album.
