Tomorrow is a new month and Christmas is right around the corner which means it's time to get ready for Journal Your Christmas.
This will be my third year following along with Shimelle on this project and I'm pretty excited to get started. I went back and forth on if I was going to do JYC or follow along with Ali Edwards December Daily. But I think I like the structure of Shimelle's class and if I have nothing to write about for that days topic I have a few other ideas about what to include in the journal. I also told myself not to buy anything new this year for the journal and to only use what I have on hand. I might have to sneak a few new products in but for the most part I'll be using what I have in my stash. Class starts tomorrow and I haven't even look at what I have on hand or come up with a plan for this year. It usually takes me a few days to get into a pattern with this album and I've got a few ideas in my head of how I want it to look.
I've also signed up for a photography course called Finding the Holiday Joy. So far it's a great class with lots of information, her handouts are detailed and the videos are really nice. I think there is still time to sign up but you better hurry before time runs out.
Since the Holiday Joy class is a short one I've also been eyeing a class over at Big Picture Classes by Tracy Clark, Picture the Holidays.
It's a month long class and I've taken the other photography classes by Tracy Clark and they have all been great. After looking at Christmas pictures from the past few years I've noticed a pattern in what pictures are taken. I'm hoping this year to capture images from a different perspective and have some new stories to tell. I'm thinking these two classes will help me with that goal.
This is a lot to take on in an already busy time of year but it's my goal to sign up for them and participate in them even with all the hurry of the holiday season.
