This morning I headed over to my friend Kayte's house to do some compassionate crafting. We made hats for new born babies for the Caps to Cap Haitien Project and some people (not me!) made reusable menstrual pads for Goods 4 Girls That's right I just said reusable menstrual pads! All in all about 50 hats got made but I don't have the count on menstrual pads. Honestly the thought of making something that will be touching a young girls hoha just kind of grosses me out. And when the conversation changed to reusable tampons I almost had to leave the room. *shudder*
Then I came home and got ready for my nieces to come over so we could go to the local Christmas parade. Now it's a small town parade so I don't expect a lot from it but this year it was at 6:30 which means it would be at night. It was a little different, usually the different floats will had out candy and cute little toys to advertise the different businesses in the area but they didn't do that this year. And it was dark outside so you couldn't really see everything. But the girls had a good time and now they are in their pj's, drinking hot chocolate and watching A Christmas Story.
