the days fly by...

For reals!  Been meaning to blog about a lot of stuff but never get the chance to.  This summer has been flying by and the days are way to hot.

Trucking along on my layout a day, some days are better than others but I do plan on having 31 layouts by the end of the month. 

I found a countdown to the new Harry Potter movie but it's to big so you can only see a little of it.  Click on the picture and you can see the whole countdown.  Hoping they come out with a smaller one. 

Other than that not a lot to report right now.

layout a day

I know some people say the phrase, "I'll never get caught up with my scrapbooking" is ugly, but for me it's true.  I'm such a slow scrapbooker that it takes me a few hours to do just a simple layout.  But I started wondering if I could do a layout a day, then I thought I would give myself a little challenge, for the month of July I would try and do a layout each day. 

I am proud to say the for the past seven days I have done a layout for each day.  Now I'm not trying to win any contest or get anything published with these layouts, I just want them done and in the scrapbook album.

I've been scrapbooking a lot lately, more on that to come, and I got a tired of just putting a finished layout in the album and it being out of order.  So today after cleaning my desk off of the big mess that was on it I pulled out last years album and got it organized.  In the spots that had a layout missing I just put a post-it note so I would know where to put it once I finished the layout.  I really liked the finished result, a scrapbook album that made sense.

Tomorrow if my first day back at work after being gone a week and I really should be in bed.  I'm way off my normal sleep schedule and it's going to be very hard getting up at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning.  So not looking forward to that.

Happy 4th of July!

Last night sat out in the front yard to watch the local fireworks and tonight we will do the same thing and watch them from the mall.  One of the nice things about living here, it's like our own private fireworks show and no traffic.

I took the week off from work and my neices are over this week so we will be doing all kinds of fun stuff!  Since it's my birthday today will be spending the day here.
