this is what I've been doing the past few days...
sewing a new purse. I've had this fabric and pattern for at least a year now and I finally got around to making it. I haven't sewn anything for donkey's ages. I think the last time I made something was in high school and that was for home ec. But I must say I'm pretty darn proud of the way it turned out.

*While I was cutting the fabric I of course had to have someone watching my every move. He was just itching to lay on top of the fabric.
And here is the final product:
The outside of the bag and the inside. I love the fact that you open up the bag and there's a nice little yellow sunshine surprise.
Since I still have a lot of fabric left over, pattern only called for 3/4 yard and I got 1 yard, I'm going to make a flower to pin onto the purse, hopefully I'll be able to do that in the next few weeks.
It's so cute, I can't wait to use it!
